چکیده

Characterisation and evaluation of soil bacteria were conducted in order to select the most potent strains that participate degradation cellulose unique agroecosystem climatic conditions. Cellulolytic activity was estimated using qualitative assays such as growth on selective media followed by screening with Congo red, Gram’s iodine solution, confirmation test red agar, determination enzyme production, sugar utilisation pattern. A total 159 cellulolytic bacterial selected based shape, size, colony characteristics. According results all three assays, sixty-four, thirty-eight fifty-one isolates able degrade at some level cellulose, respectively. Partial sequencing 16S rRNA gene 64 obtained sequences retrieved from databases indicated presence represented members phyla Actinobacteria (48.44%), Firmicutes (32.81%), Proteobacteria (15.62%) Bacteroidetes (3.13%). Determination production showed fifteen possess endoglucanases which ranged 9.09 942.41 nanomoles MUF (4-methylumbelliferone) mL. Likewise, β-glucosidase determined 23.4 % isolates. The pattern displayed different capabilities various carbon sources, occur lignocellulosic materials (cellulose, starch) or their hydrolysates (glucose, galactose, fructose, cellobiose, maltose, lactose, sucrose, trehalose).

Metabolic responses of novel cellulolytic and saccharolytic agricultural soil Bacteria to oxygen.

Cellulose is the most abundant biopolymer in terrestrial ecosystems and is degraded by microbial communities in soils. However, relatively little is known about the diversity and function of soil prokaryotes that might participate in the overall degradation of this biopolymer. The active cellulolytic and saccharolytic Bacteria in an agricultural soil were evaluated by 16S rRNA (13)C-based stabl...

Draft Genome Sequence of Atrazine-Utilizing Bacteria Isolated from Indian Agricultural Soil

We report the draft genome sequences of two tropical bacterial isolates capable of degrading the herbicide atrazine. Alcaligenes sp. strain EGD-AK7 and Arthrobacter sp. strain AK-YN10 were isolated from Indian agricultural soil in which sugarcane is grown, with a reported history of atrazine use. EGD-AK7 has the atzABCDEF genes and AK-YN10 has the trzN and atzBC genes for atrazine degradation.

Biodegradation of methylene blue from aqueous solution by bacteria isolated from contaminated soil

The use of biodegradation methods by microorganisms in the removal of industrial dyes are widely considered owing to their high efficiency and compatibility to the environment. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the biodegradation of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution by bacteria isolated from contaminated soil. This study was performed in laboratory scale on bacteria isolated and pu...

Optimization of Cellulase Production from Bacteria Isolated from Soil

Cellulase-producing bacteria were isolated from soil and identified as Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus subtilIs, E. coli, and Serratia marcescens. Optimization of the fermentation medium for maximum cellulase production was carried out. The culture conditions like pH, temperature, carbon sources, and nitrogen sources were optimized. The optimum conditions found for cellulase production were 4...
